Redford Branch Library Splashes Into July with Activites

Real Men Read

On the first Monday of every month you can hear a community father, brother or uncle read and share stories with the group.  This month's Real Men Read will take place on Monday, July 12, from 6 - 7 pm.  Join us.








The Redford Readers Book Club

This month the RRBC is reading "Winter Garden," by Kristin Hannah. The book club will meet on Monday, July 26 from 6 - 7:30 pm. Stop by the circulation desk and pick up a copy of the book and join us for the discussion.

 

 

Summer Computer Classes

All Classes are on Friday:  11 - 1 pm

 

July 9 - Microsoft Word - Introduction

July 23 - Basic Computer Skills

 

Preregistration is not required for any of the computer classes.  Please arrive 5 - 10 minutes prior to the beginning of class to ensure you have a place in the class.

Just a peek at how are garden grows, we have herbs, veggies and watermelon.  Come on out and help us maintain our beds and earn your share of fresh food at harvest time.

Community Arts and Business Browser Mondays

Beginning Monday, July 19 and every Monday through August 30, vendors will be allowed to set up tables and sell their products, services or crafts from 2 - 7 pm at no charge.

This is a way to say "Thank You," to all the vendors who have participated in our fundraising efforts in the past.  We also hope to develop relationships with new vendors and artists.

Here is what you need to know:

• The library will provide DPL (Detroit Public Library) Tables and chairs for the first 20 participants.
• Distribution of DPL tables will begin at 2 pm.
• Those who arrive after the first 20 participants will need to provide their own tables and chairs.
• DPL tables and chairs will be collected at 7 pm.
• No music is allowed.
• There will be no early set up by any vendor or artist, the event begins at 2 pm.
