to playing chess teens and tweens
Dr.
Wright wishes to thank all of the persons who volunteered, and assisted in making
the summer Reading program 2013 a great success. The world class artists Ms.
Hajj, Ms. Dabney, Jama Tata, Mr. Woolfolk, Ms. Colbert, Mr. Castleberry, Mr.
Emery Jones, and Mr. Smooth. The community youth was offered various
opportunities to explore the visual and performing arts. The accompanying
reading selection embellished the experience. Every Detroiter has an opportunity
to help, enhance and profit from a relationship with your library. Find

Description | This year’s DDF will feature 60 events connecting 300 designers and creative practitioners with design enthusiasts over five days. Dozens of design installations, shows, previews, performances and workshops, the DDF will take place at venues along Detroit’s Creative Corridor. From Downtown Detroit to New Center, and in neighborhoods throughout Detroit, highlights this year include the Detroit Design Festival official launch party, the Toyota Lecture Series, Eastern Market After Dark and the debut of "The Love Song of R. Buckminster Fuller" at the DIA. With also Detroit’s historic Avenue of Fashion unveiling and Design in Motion.
